HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Khalifa Al-Thani

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Khalifa Al-Thani has held a number of governmental leadership and decision-making roles, where he has made significant contributions and impact through policymaking at the service of socioeconomic development, both in Qatar and the wider GCC region. He has previously served as Qatar’s Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister, and is currently the personal advisor to His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar. His Highness holds a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University.
H.E Sheikh Jabor Bin Yousef Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al-Thani

As the Chairman and Director of several privately established companies, His Excellency Sheikh Jabor bin Yousef bin Jassim bin Jabor Al-Thani has been instrumental in driving growth across key economic sectors and sub-sectors in Qatar – including the industrial, commercial, insurance and reinsurance, real estate, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) fields. Notably, he presides as the Chairman of Energy and Environment Holding, United Group for Projects, Doha Properties, Grey Group Doha, and Qatar Expo. His strategic guidance also benefits the academic sphere, where he also sits on the advisory Board of Directors for Georgetown University in Qatar.
H.E Mohamed Abdulla M Al-Rumaihi

Mohamed Al-Rumaihi is a highly qualified diplomat whose background includes extensive experience in both military and civilian positions. A retired Brigadier General of the Qatari Armed Forces, he holds multiple degrees and diplomas from military academies and staff colleges in France, including the prestigious Saint-Cyr Special Military School. Following his military career, Mr. Al-Rumaihi served for more than a decade as Assistant Foreign Affairs Minister and also as Qatar’s Ambassador to several key capitals, including Brussels, Paris, and Washington, DC. He later served as Minister of Municipality and Environment. Over the years, he has been entrusted with a long list of high-profile tasks, from participating in the deliberations of the UN General Assembly, the UN Security Council, and the League of Arab States, to helping oversee the demarcation of borders with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Mr. Al-Rumaihi also played a role in the establishment of the Qatar Financial Centre, and headed the organizing efforts for countless summits, conferences, and other international gatherings in Doha, New York, Washington, London, and Berlin. In addition to numerous military citations and decorations, he also has been inducted into both the Order of Merit and the Legion of Honor, the two highest awards of the French Republic.
H.E Youssef Bin Mohammad Al Othman Fakhro

His Excellency Youssef bin Mohammed Al Othman Fakhro has a distinguished record of service to the State of Qatar, with leadership roles including Minister and Deputy Minister of Administrative Development, Labor, and Social Affairs. He has been integral in advancing national policies and social development programs. He has also previously served as the General Manager of Human Resources and Acting Chief Operations Officer at Qatar National Bank, and as Deputy General Manager of Operations for the Doha Asian Games Organizing Committee. He contributes his wealth of experience to the boards of Qatar National Hotels Company and Qatar Sports Investment, and leads as the Managing Director of Al Dana Club. His Excellency holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Southern California, underpinning his strategic approach to technology and organizational development.
Mr. Ahmad Nasser Al Kaabi

Mr. Ahmad Nasser Al Kaabi serves as the Chief Operation Officer of Al Sraiya Holding Group, building on his extensive acumen for operational excellence and strategic leadership. He is an active member of the board for several organizations, including Doha Gulf Co. Sudan, the Qatari Sudan Chamber, Islamic Business Entrepreneurs, and Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Recognized for his leadership, Ahmad has been honored with the “Best CEO in the Region” award by Forbes Middle East in 2012, and as a Pioneer in Food Security in Arab Countries in Abu Dhabi during the same year. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Qatar University.
Mr. Farid Chedid

Since the launch of Chedid Capital in 1998, Farid Chedid has expanded the group into a leading investment powerhouse in the insurance and reinsurance industry, spanning a network of 82 subsidiaries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. With extensive operations in high-growth but economically and geopolitically volatile regions, the group has leaned on Farid’s long-term, structured, and agile approach to growth – always anchored in rigorous governance and strategic risk management.
Farid’s foresight in identifying high-potential markets and growth avenues has been central to Chedid Re’s solid expansion – coupled with his enduring client relationships, strategic partnerships with key players in the global insurance markets, and established credibility. Under his leadership, Chedid Re has cemented its reputation as one of the world’s top 15 reinsurance brokers, with business originating from over 80 countries.
In addition to Chedid Re, Chedid Capital’s strategic business units encompass Chedid Insurance Brokers and Ascoma Assureurs Conseils, which together form the largest insurance brokerage network in the Middle East and Africa region. Through acquisitions and greenfield investments, Farid also established and scaled Chedid Insurance Brokers Network’s operations in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Egypt, Lebanon, Mauritius, and Cyprus. In 2021, Farid spearheaded the acquisition of Ascoma, the largest independent insurance brokerage and medical Third-Party Administrator network in sub-Saharan Africa, with a footprint spanning 23 countries.
He has equally expanded Chedid Capital’s risk-carrying business with the founding of Seib Insurance & Reinsurance company in Qatar, Momentum Insurance Agents in the UAE, and Milestone Risk Solutions in the UK – all of which are specialized in underwriting large and complex risks.
His own leadership philosophy has centered on investing in human capital development and education for sustainable industry growth. He launched the Corporate Risk Management Institute (CRMI), which focuses on education and capacity building in Governance, Risk Management, Compliance and Insurance. With GRC being a fundamental pillar of Chedid Capital's market success and reputation, Farid's commitment to ethical leadership has cemented the group's credibility and trust with stakeholders.
In addition to his role at Chedid Capital, Farid sits on the board of several leading MENA companies both within and outside the insurance sector. In 2026, he co-founded and was elected as the first Chairman of the British Lebanese Chamber of Commerce, supporting programs and initiatives to strengthen economic ties and bilateral collaboration between the UK and Lebanon. Farid is also actively involved in philanthropic initiatives and organizations across the region, including in his role as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Notre Dame University, Lebanon; a member of the Board of Club des Entrepreneurs Monégasques en Afrique (CEMA); and a Fellow of the Middle East Leadership Initiative (MELI), which is a member of The Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN).
His industry contributions have been recognized with many accolades over the years, including being named among the “100 Inspiring Leaders in the Middle East” and “Dubai 100” by Arabian Business in 2023; “The MENA Lifetime Achievement Award” by Global Re and Dubai World Insurance Congress (DWIC) in 2020; and “The Middle East and Africa Industry Achiever of the year” by the Global Re and Strategic Risk consortium in 2016. He was also listed among the “Dubai 100: most influential people in the Emirate” in 2017 and 2018, the “100 Most Powerful Arabs” in 2018, and the “100 Arab Achievers” in 2017, 2018, 2019 by Arabian Business. In 2018, he was honored among the “35 Most Influential Lebanese Businessmen” by Forbes Middle East.
Farid is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of the UK and holds a master’s degree in Risk Management from the NYU Stern School of Business; an advanced master’s degree in Finance from ESCP Europe; a master’s degree in Finance from ESA Business School; and a master’s degree in Management from Université Paris IX Dauphine.
Mr. Roudi E. Baroudi

Building on his extensive international experience with the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, European Commission, USAID, Arab Fund for Social and Economic Development, and the EXIM Bank, Mr. Roudi E. Baroudi has been an active contributor to global finance, sustainable development, and energy policy in different regions. His strategic remits have influenced state-to-state protocols and multilateral agency financing across the United States, the Middle East, Central Asia, Japan, and Europe, among others. His expertise in advancing development programs and economic reform has been pivotal in promoting economic prosperity and security, particularly in the energy sector – where he focused on private sector participation, power and gas market regulatory and policy reforms, and political restructuring. Notably, Mr. Baroudi has also engaged in substantial work on international oil and gas ventures and petroleum development. As a lecturer on global energy and an authoritative voice in energy and transportation, he has actively contributed to cross-market dialogue through a number of contributions to regional and international academic journals and media outlets. His work has covered a broad range of topics, spanning energy, security, and climate change, as well as political and economic developments. Mr. Baroudi also authored and co-authored several research publications and books on the energy sector.
H.E Mr. Ziyad Baroud

Mr. Ziyad Baroud is the former Minister of Interior and Municipalities (MoIM) of the Republic of Lebanon, where he served in two consecutive ministerial cabinets from July 2008 until June 2011. His tenure was marked by strategic advancements that garnered the United Nations Public Service Award First Prize for the MoIM in 2020. Prior to his appointment as Minister, he had held a number of roles that capitalized on his wide-ranging expertise in electoral law and democratic elections. In 2004, Mr. Baroud was elected as Secretary General for of the Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections, leading a group of more than 1300 domestic electoral observers. He was also a member of the Lebanese National Commission on Electoral Law between 2005 and 2006. In addition to his governmental work, Mr. Baroud has been an active participant in nationwide governance and legal reform efforts, with significant contributions to the improvement of public sector efficiency and transparency. He continues to hold high-profile remits in both Lebanon and on the international stage, including as a board member of the Lebanese Chapter of Transparency International. He also sits on the board of the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies and on the board of trustees of Notre Dame University. Additionally, he has served as a consultant for various UN Agencies in Lebanon, and authored a number of publications shaping public and industry discourse on local governance, decentralization, human rights, and other political and legal issues. As a court lawyer by practice and Managing Partner at HBD-T Law Firm, Mr. Baroud has also held a number of academic posts, including as a lecturer in the prestigious Université Saint Joseph and Holy Spirit University Kaslik in Lebanon. In recognition of his professional impact and industry contributions, he has received a number of honors, including “Commandeur de Numéro de l’Ordre Civil du Mérite” by former King of Spain, Juan Carlos, in July 2011; “Officier de la Légion d’Honneur” by former French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, in October 2010; “Grand Officier de L’Ordre National du Mérite de la République Française” in 2009; and “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum in 2007. Mr. Baroud obtained his master’s degree in law from Saint-Joseph University of Beirut in 1992, and pursued his doctoral studies in Paris.
Mr. Romen Mathieu

Mr. Romen Mathieu is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of The EuroMena Funds, a leading private equity firm in the Middle East and Africa. He is a board member of the International Chamber of Commerce Lebanon, and an active member of prominent organizations supporting SMEs, entrepreneurship programs and corporate governance initiatives across the region. With more than 20 years of experience in corporate transactions and family-owned businesses, his work extends throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Mr. Mathieu also holds multiple chairmanship and board roles in a diverse range of sectors and countries, including as Chairman of Khoury Home SAL, Chairman of ITWorx ltd, and Vice-Chairman of Al Oyoun Al Dawli Hospital. He also provides strategic insight as an Independent Board Member of Chedid Capital Holding SAL and Independent Advisory Board Member of MAN Entreprises SAL, and serves on the boards of First National Bank SAL and Sakson Holding SAL. Previously, Mr. Mathieu was a Partner at Ernst &Young, chiefly working in the company’s corporate finance and M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) consulting divisions in France. Prior to that, he worked with Lazard Frères, also in the M&A division, and with Arthur Andersen’s corporate restructuring and finance division in France. He holds two graduate degrees in finance and a master’s degree in management from the Sorbonne University.
